Description
The Powertech MB3940 is a compact 20A dual-input DC/DC battery charger designed for dual-battery systems in caravans, motorhomes, 4WDs, boats and off-grid installations. It can charge an auxiliary battery from the vehicle alternator or a compatible solar panel and automatically prioritises available solar power to reduce load on the engine.
The microprocessor-controlled six-stage charging process helps keep the connected battery in optimum condition. Selectable profiles support Lead Acid, AGM/Gel, Calcium and LiFePO4 batteries, while automatic ignition detection isolates the starting battery when the engine is switched off.
